Contact images

Show current resolved Android contact photos while retaining readable identity fallbacks.

Contact images is an Advanced feature. Photos can appear on speed dials, Contacts, confirmation/details and in-call identity only after the current contact has been resolved successfully.

  1. Add or update the photo in Android Contacts.
  2. Enable Contact images in the Advanced area of Preferences.
  3. Return to Elder Dialler and review the intended person. Provider changes refresh stored slots, and photo-version changes invalidate stale cached images.
  4. Check the fallback. A name, text or initials remain available when no current photo can be resolved.

Accessibility: photos supplement identity; they do not replace the readable name or TalkBack description. Decorative image content should not be announced twice.
