Local data and privacy
Understand what Elder Dialler uses on the phone, what Android owns and what leaves the device only when the user chooses.
Information used locally
- Contacts
- With permission, Elder Dialler reads visible names, phone-number rows and optional photos for calling, assignments, SOS and Safe Call Mode. Android Contacts owns creation and editing.
- Settings
- Theme, font, layout, assignments, SOS order, blocked numbers, preferences and cached Advanced entitlement are held in app-private state.
- Call history
- Elder Dialler maintains its own private incoming, outgoing, missed and rejected-call history. It does not depend on Android's general call-log permission.
System and network boundaries
Elder Dialler has no application server and does not automatically upload Contacts, call history or photos. Android owns the default-phone role, runtime permission prompts, Telecom transport, screen-pinning confirmation and notification policy. Google Play owns billing and payment-card processing.
Calling boundary: Elder Dialler uses ordinary Android Telecom telephone calls. It is not VoIP, video calling, chat or cloud calling.
