Make a callElder Mode provides a focused calling experience while retaining truthful battery and connectivity information.
Elder Mode is the Elder Dialler feature. It requests Android screen pinning, which is the phone mechanism used to reduce accidental navigation. It is free and is not a security lock.
Everyday use
These instructions apply after Elder Mode is enabled and Android's screen-pinning confirmation is accepted.
Tap a configured speed dial and confirm it when Ask before dialling is enabled.
Make a callUse the large Answer or Decline action shown for an incoming call.
Receive callsCALLS opens Elder Dialler's private history. A badge can show one or several unseen missed calls.
Call historyLong-press SOS to call configured personal contacts in order. Advanced Auto SOS can continue or cycle until stopped.
Use SOSA new contact can be started from a missed call; Android Contacts owns the save and edit flow.
Add contactsHold the Main-screen clock for five seconds for exit help, or use the normal Android unpin action for that phone.
Get helpWhile Android lock-task mode is actually active, Elder Dialler restores essential status information that screen pinning can hide. The non-interactive header can show battery level and charging, cellular service and signal, and validated Wi-Fi, cellular, Ethernet or offline transport.
If Android withholds signal information, Elder Dialler does not invent signal bars. There is no special Wi-Fi Calling icon.
Empty speed-dial positions are hidden, editing and unsuitable setup paths are suppressed, and speed-dial reassignment is unavailable. Contacts configured for SOS or emergency use cannot be blocked.
For larger changes, unpin Elder Dialler using the action for that Android phone, make the change in Normal Mode or Preferences, then enable Elder Mode again.
