About Elder Apps
Elder Apps builds simpler, clearer technology for older people, families, carers and others who benefit from reduced complexity.
Why Elder Dialler exists
Elder Dialler is a portrait Android phone application for phone-capable devices. It combines large speed dials, clear call screens, local call history, SOS calling and carer-oriented setup without becoming an internet-calling, video-calling or cloud calling service.
Normal Mode keeps contacts, the optional Dial Pad, history and editing available. Elder Mode provides a more focused experience, requests Android screen pinning and restores essential battery and connectivity information in its own graphical header.
Accessibility within the app
Accessibility is part of the existing tasks rather than a separate product mode. Elder Dialler provides large touch targets, Normal/Large/Huge app fonts, Normal/Dark/Warm themes, predictable confirmation, haptics and TalkBack descriptions for assigned and editable speed-dial positions.
Incoming and active-call screens expose only actions valid for the current state. Dialogs are designed to keep headings, identity and fixed actions reachable at larger app fonts, with inset and bottom-clearance handling for modern Android navigation.
Validation boundary: automated semantic and layout coverage does not establish suitability for every person, device, Android display scale or TalkBack gesture. Families, carers and users should review the chosen theme, font and enabled controls on the actual phone.
Who it may help
Elder Dialler may help older people, people living with disability, families, carers and support organisations who want important calls and trusted contacts to remain easy to find. It is not an emergency-monitoring service or a guarantee that a caller or SOS contact will answer.
