Check the configured phone

Use consenting callers to become familiar with each enabled call path, accessibility choice and safety boundary.

Never call an emergency-service number while learning the app. SOS tests must use consenting personal contacts.

Calling and history checks

  1. Make an outgoing speed-dial call. Check the identity, optional confirmation, active-call controls and END CALL.
  2. Receive a known incoming call. Check ANSWER and DECLINE.
  3. Exercise a waiting call only with a safe plan. Review ignore/reject, answer, and end-primary-then-answer choices where the carrier and phone support them.
  4. Try each enabled audio control. Check loudspeaker and Touch Tone only when relevant.
  5. Create a known missed call. Confirm shared badges, local history, date grouping and acknowledgement behaviour.

Configuration and accessibility checks

  1. Review Normal, Large and Huge app fonts and Normal, Dark and Warm themes on the actual phone.
  2. Check long names, contact rows, confirmation dialogs and fixed actions for readability and reachability.
  3. If TalkBack is used, test real gestures. Confirm assigned and empty speed dials, caller identity and valid call actions are understandable without duplicate decorative announcements.
  4. Check Safe Call Mode with a saved and a known unsaved number. Remember that unavailable Contacts access causes fail-open behaviour.
  5. Practise manual or Auto SOS as configured. Use confirmation, CALL NEXT or STOP and verify the ordered personal-contact list.
  6. Enable Elder Mode last. Confirm empty positions and editing paths are hidden, status information is truthful and the approved exit route is understood.
